GRAND HAVEN, Mich., Oct., 31 2007 – Shape’s VersaBumper won runner-up in the Best New Pickup/Van/SUV Product Award category at the SEMA (Specialty Automotive Equipment Association) Show in Las Vegas, NV on Oct. 30, 2007.
“We came in second out of over 1200 entries,” said Dave Chon, product manager. “The VersaBumper has got versatility … that people don’t have today. You can change the appearance of your bumper at home.”
Chon also said that the VersaBumper is a lighter-weight product that can improve fuel economy.
The VersaBumper is made from a thermoplastic alloy giving it more strength and impact resistance than traditional bumpers. Custom bumper claddings enable the color, texture, pattern and geometry of the bumper to be easily changed.
Shape’s VersaBumper is part of the Ecoological line of products. Ecoological features distinctive products and accessories that are functional, economical and environmentally friendly.
The SEMA Show is the largest automotive specialty products trade event in the world.
